Last week the FCA and PRA jointly issued regulatory consultation proposals to:
Relax some regulatory deferral items and dividend requirements; and
Simplify and harmonise some other regulatory issues.
The consultation document can be found here. The consultation period ends 13 March 2025.
The intention is to enhance the competitiveness of the City of London as a financial centre and support the UK economy generally.
Key aspects of the proposals and some implications comments will follow shortly.
